About Me: 

I am an artist who listens with my heart. I see people on a soul level and through my intuitive, heart-centered listening, I am able to interview clients and hear what matters to them. I tune in to what lights them up and then I create a one-of-a-kind piece of art (on the medium of their choice) to reflect the essence of that person. It's almost like I paint a mission and vision statement of their life. I have been told that many people see themselves differently after receiving my art because I reflect back to them all the beauty and light I see in them. How you may ask? Oftentimes, I just simply put my hand over my heart, close my eyes, take a deep breath and envision being inside my client’s soul. By clearly knowing who I am, I have found a way to better serve others. And through my art, I merely reflect back the magic and beauty I vividly see in them.  For example, picture the greatest times in your life and think of how you felt in those moments. When I hold those wonderful moments in my head and heart as I paint, I can bring those emotions to life. Now imagine wearing a denim jacket that is painted with those feelings and emotions in mind. How can it not make you happy? It’s an amazing kaleidoscope of your own JOY. 

Teaching:

I help busy people locate & develop their inner artist. By providing tons of encouragement and inspiration, I teach people to create beautiful crafts that they can be proud of. I believe that everyone should be able to take time out from the stresses of LIFE and gift themselves the opportunity to learn new skillsets from the comfort of their own homes. By signing up for online classes, my students are proving that they are ready to make an investment in themselves, for an hour or more, a few times a month. Through live zoom calls and in-person events, I combine my background in education with my many years of artistic work, into easy-going and fun, step by step workshops. This non-judgmental, interactive format allows my audience to feel comfortable accepting new challenges while receiving positive feedback from myself and their classmates.

My Journey:

I’ve been on a mission for many years. While searching for ways to live a healthy lifestyle while managing my auto-immune illness, I’ve discovered that even when I am at my worst, I can feel better by unplugging and diving into an art project. Most of my training comes from taking action. I love new challenges and the problem-solving that comes with them.

Bio:

Deborah is an educator turned artist who is well known across the DMV for her natural artistic talent as well as her loving & selfless personality. She eagerly takes on every challenge, finds joy in problem solving and loves creating artwork that tells the stories of her clients. Her creativity knows no boundaries but it is her dedication to helping others in need where you will see her shine the brightest.
